great undead

Brian's fan art made me nostalgic so I made this. don't know if I'll like do both "strips" for a while or suddenly drop Ringo and his friends or perhaps somehow merge the two. I am not a planful man.
As you can see, they look alot different. I stopped using them when I achieved the style I'd been going for all along because I had trouble imagining a comic strip with such absurd illustrations,, so I started over. now the other guys are starting to look kind of messed up, too, so I may un-start over.
Obviously, this webcomic is still in the very early stages of development, and so thanks everyone for reading anyways and abstaining from outright derision.

Deathnote is an anime. the deathnote is like a notebook you write people's names in and then they die. I doubt y'all watch anime since I almost never watch it myself. was just more interested in the artwork today than saying anything that someone would find funny. sorry 'bout that

no guest artist today. but perhaps tomorrow! or perhaps in an alternate future where McCain is president and Heathcliff really is intelligent, relevant, and hilarious.
kudos if you can name the song in panel one!

hopelessness

Trying out a slightly different art style, as you can see. Line quality is still a little rough, will have to figure that out. Oh, I just realized it may look as if she's kicking him in panel two. She is not.

Guest Artist Chelsea has sprained her wrist. I do not think she will be drawing a comic this week. She however remains optimistic.

I've added a poll, please vote on which villain is better/cooler/your favorite of the two. How'd I choose those two? I was watching a top 25 villains countdown, and Magneto was ahead of Dracula, and I got into an argument with a friend about it. So I want to see what my four to eight viewers think.

Brian's Fan art!

This has been Fan Art for Delinquent Records by Brian C. Russell, writer of The Underfold.

I think that most everyone who reads my webcomic also reads Mr. Russell's, but if you do not, then get over there and crack open those archives, you won't be sorry you did. The Underfold is one of the very few consistently funny webcomics on the internet, and the art, while not masterful in a technical since, is unlike that of any other strip that I've seen. And, I think Brian's other readers will concur, the art, as well as the writing, have so far gotten better with every strip.

For those of you who haven't been to my archives (and I hope none of you have), my first characters were these two, with the strip being titled The Great Undead. I got rid of them 'cause they kind of creeped me out. I never noticed they were better-drawn than the current guys.

some fun facts related to this strip:

I have never eaten a pear.

"the great undead" is part of a lyric from the song "Novacaine for the Soul" by Eels

Sometimes when I can't find my deodorant, I use pear scented bodyspray that I always seem to be able to find.

The male character was supposed to look like a dead Jughead. I mistakenly thought that Jughead wore a crown.

Thanks Brian!
