Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
in case you are not in the know, this is what you call a fanart, not to be confused with an antfart, which scientists tell me lingers in those ant hill labrynths something awful, and that combined with the work and the almost complete absence of sex or internet, and the unbearable heat in there . . . um wait, I was talking about fanarts. This is Brian C. Russell's fanart, nicely rapping up my newly abandoned comic strip in the best way possible, by feeding it to Marmaduke. And I'll take this opportunity to state again how important it is that everyone go to theunderfold.com if for no other reason than to marvel at my fanarts. And I really encourage everyone to make fanarts for something you love or don't hate. It's easy to do, and a great way to really show how much better they are at what they do than you are.
Anyways, I've rambled enough. I have more Twilight to read! *shame*
Twilight? Do you just have a complete lack of anything to read? Do you...do you need to borrow some money, Russell?
ReplyDeleteThe lettering in the panels with the bearded guy is truly fantastic. I can't manage anything but a retarded scrawl that brings half-gone fuzzy moments from kindergarten to mind: a plastic dinosaur touched by an afternoon sun-ray during nap-time, the taste of apple juice and crackers at ten p.m., the near vomit-inducing stomach pain after being flung twenty feet off of some playground equipment.
Er, anyway, I'm not sure if I should be complimenting you or The Underfold guy for this. Did you both draw this one? Anyway compliments for both of you. There!
Also, with the lack of recipe but the wealth of blood here is the recipe for this strip:
Red Kool Aid
You will need
water
and
red kool aid
then
combine
and then
drink
-Gus
Oh yeah, before too long I will sit down and hammer us out a website. Unless you do it first(do it first, Russell). But yeah, I'll get on it. I think a fair start would be something ugly, just to get some stuff out there and us thinking about it.
this strip is all Brian. I didn't do anything
ReplyDeletethis strip is all Brian. I didn't do anything
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the recipe. I encourage everyone to follow Gus' example and share recipes in the comment section.
another feature I'm considering adding: funny things lifted verbatim from tv. such as "When was the last time you went to the aquarium. with your daughter. on a tuesday." - Mastercard commercial
Oh yeah I forgot to add space in the recipe. That way it fits with your new pilot space guy theme. So like:
ReplyDeleteSpace Kool Aid(Red)
You will need
water
and
Red Kool Aid Mix
then combine, in space
and then
drink, in space
-Gus
I actually meant pilot as in first issue, but I guess he is technically the pilot of his spaceship, which I now realize is almost too small for him
ReplyDeleteHAHA! This honestly still makes me laugh. I like how I put more effort into this strip than my own...
ReplyDeleteAnd then there's Marmaduke killing Ringo. Which, as we both agree, is how most comic strips should/could end.
Awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhere's xy and Joe Mathlete now? This is the Marmaduke they've lived their lives for!
ReplyDeleteMarmaduke has spotted a mostly bald comic strip character. And because Marmaduke becomes enraged every time he sees something move, he has attacked this comic strip character, savagely ending his life and his strip with him.
ReplyDeleteYES! I made something that got critiqued by xy! I feel so... awesome.
ReplyDeleteDid Joe Mathlete see this? He might have a problem...
i would bet dollars to donuts that Joe has not seen this as he is not into emerging webcomics like i am.
ReplyDeleteand i already critiqued your whole webcomic, or did you forget?
Oh, I didn't forget, it's just different to get picked at nicely and picked to be picked on.
ReplyDeleteThat's one accurate sentence with 3 "pickeds" in there.
*gleefully dives into all the comments and swims around* ee hee hee hee
ReplyDeleteeeeee heeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Squeeeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteSUPER COMMENTED! There's nothing like striking a chord with your audience and just randomly commenting until it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT YOU POSTED ABOUT. That's the best.
ReplyDeleteRight, Captain Planet? (Which would be hilarious as a Will Ferrell movie)
